Introduction to Hand in Hand Parenting for Therapists (and other mental health providers) with Muftiah Martin

The East Hawai’i HIAMFT chapter is excited to invite you to a special CEU event for clinicians who want to further their knowledge in how to guide parents who struggle with effective parenting of their children.
Parents have a vital role to play in society: Raising the next generation of adults. Therapists are in a unique position to support those parents. Hand in Hand Parenting is the operating manual that parents wish their children were born with. The program is an attachment-based, trauma-informed model for supporting children and their caregivers.
In this introductory presentation Muftiah Martin, LMFT, will give an overview of Hand in Hand, using the ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency) framework. The presentation will include useful examples of how therapists can incorporate the Hand in Hand tools into their clinical work with children and families, and how we can empower parents to navigate their children’s behavioral and emotional challenges effectively and compassionately.
