Irina Nichifiriuc is mother of three, one boy born in 2008 and two girls born in 2011 and 2013. She has a master’s degree in Marketing – Strategy and Planning and has experience in insurance sales.
When she first became a mom she understood she needed more information and better tools to raise a well-rounded and happy child than what she had received from her own mother. She found Playful Parenting to be most satisfying but still something was missing. Then she discovered Hand in Hand Parenting when her middle child wouldn’t stop crying night after night for 6 months. She figured out exactly what was missing:
“Listening Partnerships and the Listening Tools Hand in Hand had to offer were life changing and life saving for me. As soon as I could offload some of the nasty feelings from my system I could function better, tend to my children and be able to listen to them. Listening helped my sweet little daughter stop crying in the middle of the night, stop picking her nose and pulling off her beautiful hair. Playlistening and Special Time helped build my children’s self-esteem, independence and confidence, bringing all of us closer. I was amazed of the power of the Listening Tools and decided to help spread the word.”
Irina joined the Instructor Certification Program in 2015 and became a Certified Instructor the next year. She has successfully applied the tools with her children and with other children she came in contact with. She is now teaching Hand in Hand Parenting in Iasi, in the northeastern part of Romania. She is helping parents from her region to better understand their children’s emotions, play with their children and build a good support system for themselves.

Irina Nichifiriuc este mama a trei copii, un băiat născut în 2008 și două fete născute în 2011, respectiv 2013. Are studii post-universitare de Marketing – Strategie și Planificare și experiență în vânzarea de asigurări.
După ce a avut primul copil a înțeles că are nevoie de mai multe informații și instrumente pentru a crește un copil echilibrat și fericit. Ceea ce moștenise de la părinți, nu era suficient. A utilizat cu succes Parentajul prin Joacă (Playful Parenting), însă ceva lipsea. Apoi a descoperit Hand in Hand Parenting când fetița mijlocie plângea în fiecare noapte fără vreun motiv evident. A înțeles atunci ceea ce lipsea:
“Parteneriatele de Ascultare (Listening Partnerships) și celelalte instrumente Hand in Hand mi-au schimbat și salvat viața. Imediat ce am început să descarc o parte din sentimentele puternice care mă blocau, am reușit să funcționez mai bine, să mă ocup de copii și să-i ascult. Ascultarea a ajutat-o pe fetița mea mijlocie să oprească plânsul nocturn, să scape de ticul de a se scobi în nas și de a-și încâlci părul cu degetele. Playlistening și Timpul Special au contribuit la clădirea stimei de sine, a independenței și a încrederii copiilor mei, aducându-ne mai aproape. Am fost fascinată de puterea instrumentelor de ascultare Hand in Hand și am hotărât să ajut la răspândirea acestei abordări.”
Irina s-a înscris în programul de Certificare pentru Instructori în 2015 și a devenit Instructor Hand in Hand în anul următor. A aplicat cu succes abordarea Hand in Hand atât în propria familie cât și cu alți copii cu care a intrat în contact. Ea predă această abordare în Iași, în partea de nord-est a României. Irina ajută familiile din regiunea sa să înțeleagă mai bine cum funcționează emoțiile copiilor, cum să se joace cu ei și cum își pot construi un bun sistem de suport pentru ei înșiși.
