Stacy Wilson

Hand in Hand Certified Instructor

Stacy is an educator at heart. She has spent nearly 20 years teaching and caring for young children. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. Over the years she has taught in her own home preschool, in community preschools and daycares, in parent co-ops, and in the public school system in Utah, New York, and California. She has 2 school-aged children.

Stacy found Hand in Hand Parenting after the birth of her second child, when she got to a breaking point with her then toddler and infant. She knew there had to be a better way to handle the strains of parenting and to get support for herself. She wasn’t happy with how she was parenting and was looking for something different. She found Hand in Hand that same night and first began by reading the Listening to Children booklets and using the tools with her children. Since then she has used the tools with her own children, taught family members and friends, and even used the tools to touch the lives of students she has taught.

“I credit the Hand in Hand tools and support system with getting me through some of the toughest years of my life as a person and as a parent. Time and time again these tools have served me and my children in ways I could have never expected 5 years ago.We have come out from hard circumstances more resilient, flexible, empathetic, and loving as a family. Hand in Hand Parenting offers parents everything they need to be successful.”

Stacy is also a single parent and particularly interested in supporting single parents with the unique challenges that parenting alone brings into the equation.
